• Open your Settings app.• Tap on Bluetooth.
• You'll see a list of devices, including your AirPods (they might be named something like "John's AirPods").
• Once you've found them, tap on the More Info button, and voila! You'll see the model number right there.

*Just a heads up, make sure you're connected with your AirPods to access settings.

To remove the AirPods case, just simply push the AirPods up and out from the opening at the bottom of the case. Applying steady pressure should do the trick.
